Bohol is the main island of Bohol Province which has 75 minor surrounding islands. The island lies southeast from Cebu Island and southwest of Leyte Island in the Central Visayas Region . This oval-shaped island is the tenth largest island of the Philippine Archipelago.
From Manila, I travelled via plane (Cebu Pacific) and i choose the early flight, 6:00am departure and arrival is at 7.25am at Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Another way of entering Tagbilaran is Via Boat from Cebu. There are various Fast craft Company that sails from Cebu Port to either Tagbilaran Port or Tubigon Port. Travel time is approximately 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs.
Transportation around Bohol is mainly by Motorcycle, Tricycle, Bus and Private cars and Taxi. Just Be Wise dealing with the people as if they knew you are a traveler and visitor to their place they will charge you higher than the usual fare. Be careful.
My Detailed Trip
Prior to my arrival i already contacted Bohol CocoFarm located in Panglao, to reserve a Bed for me in their Dormitory Room for 2 days @ 350.00 php a day with free vegetarian breakfast. What a deal right?
I also inquired about the country side tour if they provide and luckily they have a tie up travel and tour around the area so i didn't have to find it for my self.
I arrived in Tagbilaran Airport @7:30am. Since i was a bit early for the Country side tour i opted to go to Mcdonalds in the BQ mall for the breakfast. Take note don't get the trike near the airport they will charge you 100 just to go to the McDonald's. I walked towards the road and i got a trike to bring me to the BQ Mall for only 10php. I stayed there til 9 am while waiting. I went to the Rizal Park and walked around then i just waiting the Agency who will pick me up at Dun kin Donuts just in front of the Rizal Park. The Agency arrived about 10:20am a bit late of 20 Min's but that's OK it happens. I was the only solo traveler among 10 people they picked up from Panglao and Tagbilaran . This must be an exciting day for me. I got new found friend couple from manila Ate Carla and kuya Ryan.
Countryside Tour Itinerary
Tarsier Sanctuary
The first Stop.We arrived in this place at 10:57am.
Entrance fee here is 60php and you have the opportunity to see live Tarsiers. I am very excited to see this little endangered species but at the same time i feel guilty. Why? because morning time they supposed to sleep and rest but here we are disturbing them and making fun of them.Since i am already here i just go and check them of course be sensitive enough not to use camera with flash. The tarsiers are amazing little cute animal, before i can only see them in the photo now i have the opportunity to take photo with them and see them live and real and near. Such a pleasure to witness this little ones.
adorable cute little creatures
Butterfly Sanctuary and Phyton Sactuary - We arrived around 11:30am and payed 45 php for Butterfly Sanctuary and another 45php for the Phyton Sanctuary. It was just a small place where they take care of those beautiful and colorful butterflies and a short tour to the garden and i got the opportunity to hold them and play with them also taking photo and selfies.
At the back of Butterfly Sanctuary you can see the different snakes around i saw Burmese phyton and albino phyton and one deadly snake i just forgot the name of that species.I got the chance to take photo with this cold blooded phyton and i feel omg he might attack of eat me. Thank God the caretaker told me that the snake is full and that species wont attack when they are full, so i grabbed the opportunity to do it. This was my second time to take photo with the snake , one was with an Albino phyton when i was in Davao. This one is scary as its bigger and when i hold the head and the neck the snake was moving so i got little nervous but i still manage to take photo hahha. Exciting yet Scary!

Of course as I'm not fond of this extreme rides i just sit down and relax and took some selfies and and enjoyed the view.Nothing much to do here if you re not going to do the rides so we stayed here for about 15 mins and we moved to the next destination.
Man Made Forest
Arrived 2:20pm. Free for all travelers. I love this place. It was just a normal road or lets say highway in the middle of the forest.I love those super tall trees if i am not mistaken it was mahogany tree.
Feel so fresh , feels so relaxing , not crowded, but you have to take care as there are some vehicles passing around back and fourth so be careful while taking photos, you don't want to have an accident while having a tour.
an awesome man made forest i ever seen
Chocolate Hills
This is the most famous attraction when u are in Bohol so expect crowds around the vicinity.
We arrived at 3:15pm and we payed 50php for the entrance.
you have to hike atleast a 150 steps to reach the top of the park where you can see and witness the amazing Chocolate Hills. It was a tiring hike as its very hot in the afternoon and its humid. But with all the exicitement and astonishment i made it in no time. When you are on top all you can say is just --- WOW! AMAZING wonders of nature. Bohol is blessed with this awesome spot. Would be nice if less crowded so you can take your photos with out not much people around. This place is worth the visit, worth the travel , and worth the hike. Awesome!
majestic chocolate hills
Sipatan Twin Hanging Bridge
Arrived at 4:30pm. Entrance fee is 20php. It was just a bamboo bridge in the middle of a river. It was raining that time and i didn't get the chance to go to the other part of the bridge as its quite slippery so i opted not to cross the bridge. They said that on the other side of that bridge you will get the cheapest pasalubong and souveniers you can bring back home, I skipped that. I don't want to get an accident.
so slippery i did not try to go to the other side.
water is not clear due to the rain prior to my arrival ;-(
Arrived at 5.45pm. Baclayon Church used to be one of the oldest Church in Bohol but unfortunately it was ruined by the Earthquake and typhoon that hitted the province couple of years ago. All you can see now is the outside appearance of the church and inside it was being renovated and no one is allowed to enter the premises,

7:00pm Checked in at Bohol CocoFarm
Washed up and ordered dinner. I got sizzling squid for 169php, rice for 20php and fresh buko for 39php. Such an awesome dinner treat for my self after such tiring day. Whats good in this place is that the food they served are organic.. They are health conscious. and that's great.
